Removable braces

These are frequently used in young patients to correct crossbites (when the teeth meet the wrong way round, e.g. the top front teeth are behind the lower front teeth), to maintain space to aid the eruption of buried teeth, and to correct prominent or overlapped front teeth. Treatment when patients are young may prevent the need for further treatment in the future.
