Fixed appliances

Traditional fixed appliances are composed of a metal wire which is attached to metal brackets placed on the teeth. The bracket and wire are connected together with an elastic attachment. They are used to straighten teeth.

Clear brackets can be used, which are made of ceramic or plastic, making the appliance less noticeable. Metal wires are still used with a clear elastic attachment.
